Agellis receives order to increase processing efficiency in a Scandinavian stainless steel plant
Agellis Group AB has received an order for the supply of a LadleSlag system. The order comes from Outokumpus Avesta works, a stainless steel plant in Sweden.
The order relates to the monitoring system called LadleSlag which is designed to monitor the ladle de-slagging process in order to achieve a sufficient and consistent slag removal and in the same time minimize steel losses.
“Being a producer of stainless steel one of our primary focuses is to maximize the metal yield throughout the processing, thus reducing operational costs. In addition, slag carry-over between treatments have grave implications on efficiency. Our strive is to minimize this while simultaneously reduce operator dependency by the installation of a LadleSlag system”, says Mikael Gottfridsson, Steel Plant Manager.
“Receiving this order from one of the world’s predominant stainless steel producers is of great reference value to us and, even more important, an acknowledgement that our systems fills an important customer need“, says Patrik Bloemer, CEO of Agellis.
Delivery and installation is expected to be made during the 1st quarter of 2017.
Agellis LadleSlag system helps the operator in real-time to perform a consistent slag removal with a minimum of metal losses.
