Agellis has received an order from USA for the system upgrade of an american steel plant. The system to be upgraded is an older generation suspended sensor measurement solution for a precise steel meniscus measurement in the mold (EMLI-Ms). Using electromagnetic mold level measurement is a great advantage compared to other known methods since the measurement is very precise and completely independent of the powder thickness. Electromagnetic solutions allow controlling the steel meniscus level itself which is a process necessity to achieve level stability and produce quality products.
“It is always a great pleasure to receive orders for the upgrade of older systems since it is a true testimony of a long lasting customer satisfaction”, says Patrik Bloemer, CEO for Agellis.
As previously announced, the Board of Agellis Group AB has applied for delisting from Nasdaq First North. Nasdaq First North has now granted the company’s request and decided that the last day of trading with Agellis shares is to be on April 29, 2016.

Agellis Group AB has received an order totalling 200.000 EUR for a level measuring system from a smelter plant in Africa. The order relates to a level measuring system EMLI-S for a copper smelting furnace. The system with sensors is patented and measures the liquid metal level in real time in the furnace. The output from the system will give the customer more information about the melting progress in the furnace which will result in process optimization and a higher yield capability. The order consists of the measuring system, commissioning, spare parts and training.
The first delivery will be completed before the end of 2015 with the second delivery, including commissioning, occurring in the first half of 2016.
Agellis Group has been granted a patent for the technology used in the products EMLI-ELP and EMLI-FBL in Chile. Chile is an important market for the Agellis Groups’ Technology with many potential non-ferrous customers and the granting of this patent plays an important strategic role for Agellis.
This patent is an important part of Agellis patent strategy; to be unique in the area of level measurement of molten metal and slag. The patent gives Agellis protection from competition in both the steel industry (EMLI-FBL) and in the non-ferrous metals industry (EMLI-ELP).
Agellis Group AB has received an order totalling 130.000 EUR for a slag detection system from a steel plant in Mexico. The order relates to a slag detection system for ladles, EMLI SIL, which detects the onset of slag in the tapping stream to help reduce slag carryover to the tundish when casting. The order is divided into two parts with a performance guarantee between the two deliveries. The first part of the delivery is the system and sensors for a limited number of ladles, while the second delivery will consist of all the sensors required to equip the rest of the ladles plus spare parts and system education.
During 2015, the first delivery will be completed with the second delivery including commissioning occurring in the first half of 2016.
Agellis Group AB has received an order totalling 150.000 EUR for the upgrade of three level measurement systems. The order comes from a steel plant in Europe. The order relates to the measurement systems called EMLI-Ms. The systems measure molten metal level in continuous casting moulds. The three new systems replace older versions which the steel plant has been using successfully for more than 20 years.
Delivery and installation is expected to be made during the fourth quarter of 2015.
Agellis Group AB has received an order totalling 50.000 EUR for a measuring system to detect metal during slag tapping from a copper furnace. The order relates to the Agellis measurement system EMLI-SIO, a slag indication system for converters and non-ferrous furnaces.
In this installation the system will be used for detecting metal during slag tapping in a copper furnace. It is important that no metal is mixed with the slag as it is cooled with water in the next step of the process. If molten metal gets in contact with water there is a risk of explosions which can lead to plant personnel injuries, equipment damage and process interruptions.
Delivery and commissioning of the system will take place during the fourth quarter of 2015.
Agellis Group AB has received an order totalling 140.000 EUR for a measuring system, including a three year support agreement, from a steelworks in Europe. The order relates to the Agellis measurement system EMLI-SIE, a slag indication system for electric arc furnaces. The system helps the plant to tap steel from their electric arc furnace while preventing large amounts of slag entering the ladle. Reducing slag carryover from the electric arc furnace assists a more stable secondary processing of the steel and reduces consumption of additives.
Delivery of the system will take place during the third quarter and commissioning is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2015. The support agreement will run for three years and includes the supply of sensors and a preventive maintenance program.
Agellis Group AB has received an order totalling 150.000 EUR for an upgrade of two level measuring systems. The order comes from a copper plant in Europe. The order relates to the measurement systems EMLI-T and EMLI-M. The systems measure metal level in a runner and respectively in a mould. The systems are installed in a continuous casting machine and are very important for the quality and yield of the product produced.
Delivery and installation is expected to be made during the fourth quarter of 2015.
